Q: Maximum printing area for designs.

A: The boxes you see in the Design Center show the largest printable area on each certain shirt. You will notice that in the design center no matter what garment you will be designing on; you will see the boxes that show the printable are boxes.

Q: Designing on the Back of the garment.

A: Click the "back" button, which is located on the top of the Design Center box. If you don't see this button, the product on which you're designing doesn't offer two-sided printing (certain specialty products are limited to one-sided printing). Once your product flips over, you can use the Design Center to design your shirt on the back as well as the front. Now that you know it's possible, use the whole shirt to express yourself!

**Please don’t worry if you rotate the garment from front to back your artwork on the front (if there is any) won’t be lost. So when you rotate it back your artwork will be there the same as you left it.

Q: Add Names and Numbers

A: If you are creating a design for an order where you need personalization in the forms of names/numbers on the shirts. In the design center, beside the “add art” option, click the “add names & numbers option and follow the process from there. If you have any questions please contact us at personalize-garments@shirtmy.com with name and ID# of the design, and the personalized information you need in the shirt. We will then mock the personalized information and then send it to you for approval to move forward with the printing of the garments.

Q: How to change the size of each piece of clipart.

A: When you add clipart to your design, you can size it up or down by simply adjusting the width or the height (if you want it to proportionally be the same as before adjusting the size, make sure the "Lock Proportions" box is checked!) and clicking "Resize". This is also where you can change the color of your image. If you add clipart, then add or edit the text, and then want to go back to sizing/changing the color of the clipart, just select the piece of clipart that you want to adjust with your mouse, and the sizing and color options should reappear to your left

Q: Designing on different sizes

A: The design dimensions that are shown on this shirt will be the same for every shirt in your order. That means that your design may appear larger on a smaller shirt, or smaller on a Plus size shirt, even though the design is exactly the same size on every shirt. If you would like the size of your design to fit proportionally better on a wider variety of shirt sizes, please save your design and contact us at design-sizes@shirtmy.com and one of our representatives can respond with some different options to make sure that everything turns out great!

Q: How to make sure you choose the best colors of ink for your design.

A: Choosing your ink and shirt color is one of the fun parts of designing, however it can also be a bit tricky. Sometimes, certain t-shirt/ink color combinations look more vibrant on a computer screen than they do in real life. Here are some quick guidelines to choose color combinations that pop!

-When using lighter shirts, be careful of pastel colors such as yellow, light blue, or light pink. These colors are visible on the shirts, but may not be legible at a distance. Adding an outline of a darker color to a lighter color design can highlight the text, making it more legible!

-Darker colored shirts look great with these lighter ink colors, however be careful about darker colors like cardinal, maroon, or forest green. These colors may look great in the lab, but when they print sometimes the shirt color distorts the ink color, making them look more brown or dull than intended. When we see these colors on an order, we'll call and offer a color that will print like the color you chose in the Lab

Q: Proof before production of orders larger than 25 units

A: Once you place your order, a ShirtMy.com artist will review your design thoroughly to ensure a quality print. Once we've completed our review process, we'll email you a picture proof showing the detailed design as we plan to print it. Unfortunately, picture proofs are not available for orders of less than 25 items
